I’m going to be starting a new job this week and while I’m very excited, I’m also a little nervous. Being the new person and the pressure to make a good first impression is something that causes some anxiety for me. Nevertheless, I’m remaining optimistic and looking forward to a new start because change is good and provides an opportunity for growth. One thing I did to prepare was plan my outfits for the week. I normally do that over the weekend because it saves me time each morning before work. It’s also one less task for me to do in the morning and it helps me get ready quicker. The dress code for my job is business casual so here is an outfit I might wear this week.
For the tops, I have a grey and black plaid blazer over an ivory tie-front blouse. I like the plaid blazer because it’s a fun print but still professional. The blouse can be tied with the ends loose like I did below, or tied into a bow.
For the pants I have dark grey skinny ankle slacks. These fit really well and have a good amount of stretch while still maintaining its shape. Also this color is good for all seasons.
Finally, for accessories I have a black tote and grey heels. I like this tote because it’s simple, yet stylish, and will go with anything I choose to wear. It’s also large enough to fit a variety of items.
Hope you all have a wonderful week!
